Almost everything Trump just tweeted about Omarosa is the opposite of what he’s said before

President Trump took aim Monday morning at his former aide and fellow reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman, who is currently shopping both a tell-all about and recordings from inside the White House.

And while Manigault Newman’s own 180 on Trump — she assured us nine months ago that he wasn’t a racist and now says in her book that he’s an irredeemable one — Trump seems bent on giving her a run for her money on revisionist history.

Trump said in a trio of tweets that Manigault Newman “begged me for a job,” is a “loser” who is “vicious but not smart” and “nasty to people,” and was basically an absentee employee of no real import. And then he capped it all off by pointing to the many great things she had said about him previously.

Pot, meet kettle.

In fact, nearly every contention Trump made about Manigault Newman is contradicted by something he previously said. Let’s take them one-by-one:

Omarosa ‘got fired 3 times on the Apprentice ... She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job.’

What’s missing from this is, of course, the fact that Trump kept hiring her, including for a high-ranking $180,000-a-year White House job.

Trump has also praised her as a beacon of progress on the issues she worked on and said she is a “star.”

Here’s what he said at September 2016 rally in Ohio (with emphases added): "Don’t leave Omarosa — she’s a wonderful woman — don’t leave. She’s a wonderful woman. She has done so much for me with the African American community, with communities generally. And she’s another one — she is such a fine person, and nobody knows it. And I just blew her income for the next 20 years. You are amazing, okay, and i just want to thank you very much for everything you’ve done. She works so hard, she feels so strongly. Thank you. Omarosa. I mean I did help make her a star, in all fairness. I don’t feel — I don’t feel so guilty. So thank you.”

She’s ‘vicious’ and ‘nasty to people’

Few people would dispute this characterization of the cutthroat villain from “The Apprentice.” But Old Trump is one of them.

Here’s Trump in September 2016 at a rally in Detroit: "Omarosa, who’s actually a very nice person, but I don’t want to say that because I’ll destroy her image by saying that. But she’s actually a very, very fine person and a pastor.”

She’s ‘not smart’

Trump seemed to suggest she was pretty smart back in 2013.

‘When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems’

John Kelly became chief of staff in late July 2017. Here’s what Trump said in December 2017 when Manigault Newman left the White House.

QUESTION: Did Omarosa share some concerns with you, Mr. President?

TRUMP: I like Omarosa. Omarosa is a good person.

‘I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible.’

Trump himself did a pretty good job of making her look “legitimate,” including hailing her on the way out by wishing her “continued success.”
